Sr. Audit Manager

Our Client, a growing full-service CPA firm, with offices in New York City, New Jersey, Long Island, Maryland, White Plains, and California is seeking a Sr. Audit Manager for their office in Ocean Township, NJ. 

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Audit Partner, Director, and Senior Managers in coordinating, arranging, and scheduling multiple audit engagements to ensure timely completion. Participate in audits of publicly traded companies, broker-dealers, not-for-profits, and manufacturers.
• Supervise and actively engage in all phases of audit engagements. This encompasses independently leading the audit, overseeing and reviewing the work of junior staff, and executing junior-level tasks when necessary. All team members contribute as required.
• Handle engagement budget, billing, and realization for assigned clients.
• Examine/prepare comprehensive sets of financial statements, related disclosures, and work papers to guarantee compliance with reporting standards and quality control.
• Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with audit clients while gaining a thorough understanding of their operations. Identify client concerns and proactively communicate potential solutions.
• Cultivate new client connections and relationships and identify opportunities for offering additional services to current clients.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of external audit experience (PCAOB experience).
• Current CPA license.
• Must have SEC experience
• Strong self-motivation and initiative to lead multiple engagements effectively.
• Ability to work harmoniously within a tightly-knit team and demonstrate an affable disposition.
• Exceptional time management abilities; meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of pride in one's work.
• Robust leadership and mentoring proficiencies.
• Advanced proficiency in CCH ProSystem Engagement and PPC’s Smart Tools.
• Must be able to commute 2-3 days a week.
