Director – Supply Chain/Operations

JOB DESCRIPTION

A leading value-added distributor and solutions provider of signal equipment is seeking a hands-on and strategic Director – Supply Chain/Operations to join its leadership team. This role will oversee supply chain, logistics, production operations, project management, and field services across the company's facilities. A key focus will be improving operational processes and leading the reimplementation of the ERP system (Macola), with an emphasis on MRP functionality and end-to-end workflow alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of inventory control, procurement, planning, and warehouse operations.

  • Manage teams across materials purchasing, logistics, and warehousing.

  • Develop and implement efficient processes, procedures, and documentation for operations.

  • Resolve materials and production issues to minimize downtime and ensure timely delivery.

  • Serve as the operational lead and subject matter expert during the ERP (Macola) reimplementation.

  • Implement and manage MRP processes and drive ERP alignment across departments.

  • Map and optimize workflows related to inventory, invoicing, and production planning.

  • Oversee project management initiatives and field service operations.

  • Facilitate ERP testing, data migration, training documentation, and user adoption.

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and change management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 15 years of supply chain and planning experience, including team leadership.

  • 7+ years in operations with direct ERP involvement; 3+ years leading ERP reimplementation projects.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and MRP systems.

  • Familiarity with Macola ERP preferred.

  • APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

  • Experience with ISO-9000, Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies is desirable.

Additional Details:

  • The role is based in Branchburg, NJ, with periodic travel to the Souderton, PA facility.

  • The ideal candidate will be both strategic and tactical, with the ability to lead and also roll up their sleeves when needed.
