Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (subject to change)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain its enterprise IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, enterprise storage, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement infrastructure improvements, and support day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments to ensure system stability and availability.
• Support VMware and other virtualization platforms, including virtual machine provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Administer enterprise storage systems, including capacity management, connectivity monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues related to servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and overall system performance.
• Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and firewall connectivity.
• Respond to infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform routine system maintenance, patch management, hardware health checks, backup support, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Support data center operations, including server hardware, network equipment, cabling, rack organization, and hardware replacements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to resolve technical issues and implement infrastructure solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strongly Preferred Skill: Bilingual Korean
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux server environments.
• Hands-on experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies.
• Experience supporting enterprise storage solutions and server hardware.
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, switches, and routers.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and external partners.
