Manager - Business Management (Music/Touring)

We are seeking a seasoned Manager to join a close-knit Business Management team in Los Angeles. Our client's practice specializes in supporting touring artists, producers, songwriters, and independent labels with comprehensive financial services.

This role is best suited for an experienced financial professional who combines strategic insight with strong hands-on accounting skills. You will serve as the primary day-to-day leader for a roster of music clients, acting as the central point of contact for their financial affairs while collaborating closely with the tax team and internal associates.

Core Responsibilities

• Financial & Cash Management: Monitor payables, receivables, deals, and cash flow. Review associate work, approve payments, and proactively address any issues with clients and their teams.
• Tax Coordination: Serve as the key liaison between clients and the tax team for quarterly estimates and return preparation.
• Client & Team Communication: Manage high-volume email and communications, prepare financial reports and presentations, and ensure smooth delegation.
• Tour & Royalty Oversight: Track and reconcile tour-related payments and liaise with royalties teams.
• Payroll, Insurance & Credit Cards: Oversee payroll processing, insurance requirements, and credit card statement tracking.
• Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and set the standard for a team of associates while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in business management or accounting.
• CPA is preferred.
• Required: Direct prior experience in the music and/or touring industry.
• Proven track record in tax matters, staff supervision, and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with bookkeeping/financial software.
• Ability to work in-office in Los Angeles (hybrid flexibility available).
